The grand opening took place on Sunday 2nd September from 12 noon till 4pm, with lots of activities taking place around the site including backwoods cooking, Archery , tours of the Second World War bunker and Garden games. More than 80 people came to the opening from all over Surrey in both Scouting and Guiding.
The 34th Reigate (Meadvale) Explorers helped show guest around and make sure the day ran well. The Reigate (SAS) ran a BBQ to feed the visitors.
